This is the 21st century,a century of information technology,a century of post modernization and post advancement in the field of science and technology.Besides the advancements there is still a feeling of inferiority and superiority,seniority and juniority,higher castes and lower castes etc.Among these long term conflicts,more appropriately a natural and social conflict,the discrimination among men and women also stands as a most serious problem.
The word women itself signifies the concept of creation but it has been justified negatively.Women are considered to be less intelligent and less creative than men.The status of women in Nepal is very low.As said,a woman before her marriage depends upon her parents,after the marriage,she depends upon her husband and at last her old age she depends upon her children.
Fifty years ago,people used to think that women should be busy in domestic works and should not move ahead in life to achieve great things.In ancient times.she had to kill her wishes and keep it within herself.So, woman's status 50 years ago can be considered as an animal in the cage.
Nowadays.due to the advancement and development in education sector,the mentality of people is changing considerably.In modern society each woman is free to understand everything and to involve in professions like politics,teaching and administration.So, we can say that today women can do the same things which men do.They should make a foundation from their families so that the women's right movement could spread all over the world like the rays of the rising sun.So, today is the time for bringing women's right movement and it's time to say,"Women are the noblest of all God's creations." |
