Introduction: Shanti Griha, a small NGO run by an aspiring team of young Nepalese youth, is a not-for-profit organization established to help in the development of the rural villages of Nepal. The name ?Shanti Griha? denotes "House of Peace" in the local Nepalese language, and we strive for peace in this war ravaged country.
?Shanti Griha? came into existence as a result of the concerns of a few committed youths to secure integrated development through people?s participation. The key areas identified for interventions were infrastructure development, local resource management, health and hygiene, education, gender, environmental issues, and finally peace in the hearts of the public.
